Electrolysis can be performed safely on any age group from newborn babies to people over a hundred years of age. It is not suggested that there is a good reason for using electrolysis on a new born, but rather than it is safe.

The earliest age for treatment depends upon the motivation of the young person. Most electrologists want to make sure that it’s the young person, and not the parent, who is deciding that it’s time for electrolysis treatments. We, as electrologists, evaluate the need, the pain tolerance, maturity and appropriateness of it…and make a plan for the young person’s treatment. Most electrolysis is performed on men and women past the age of puberty.

Teenage years are one of the more challenging years one faces. You feel the pressure of society along with the pressures from your peers. Your teenager wants to look at himself/herself in the mirror and feel confident. As teens are coming into their own physical changes bring hormonal changes and with it superfluous unsightly growth of hairs that can have a negative effect on their body image as well as their self esteem…the dialogue with the mirror can be positive or negative.
Girls as young as twelve years old seek treatment to remove hair on their upper lip.
Teens and even preteens of both genders receive treatments to define or separate eyebrows, etc.

When a teen or preteen elects treatment it’s because they want the embarrassment that they feel to go away. Successful treatments boost their confidence and their self-esteem.

The treatment is more effective for teens and preteens because unlike adults they have not tweezed, waxed, shaved or done any other hair removal treatments.

If you’re a teen or the parent of a teen, you can rest assured that there is a permanent solution for removing excess hair safely, comfortably, conveniently and Permanently -Electrolysis.
We like to think of ourselves as instrumental in changing people’s lives.

Confidence is Freedom
