How can Electrolysis help with acne?Acne is the most common skin condition that can affect people of all ethnicities and ages.
It affects the skin’s oil glands. The small holes in your skin (pores) connect to oil glands under the skin, by a canal called follicle, and that make an oily substance called Sebum. Acne is a skin condition that occurs when the oil-secreting glands in the skin are clogged and become inflamed or infected.

Acne typically appears on your face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. These areas of skin have the most oil (sebaceous) glands.

There are many myths about what causes acne- dirty skin, stress, chocolate and greasy foods do not cause acne in most people.
Doctors think that certain factors might trigger it- hormone increase during teenage years, hormone changes during pregnancy, starting or stopping birth control pills, heredity, some types of medicine, greasy makeup.
Treatments by dermatologists try to:
*heal pimples,
*stop new pimples from forming
*prevent scarring.

Here are some ways to care for skin if you have acne:
*clean skin gently morning and night – scrubbing can make it worse.
*try not to touch your skin – do not squeeze, pinch or pick pimples to prevent scars and dark spots.
*stay out of the sun- many acne medication make skin more susceptible to sunburn
*choose make up carefully- look for oil free or noncomedogenic
*shampoo your hair daily if oily.

Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal method for every type of hair and type of skin. If your facial hair is accompanied by acne, electrolysis treatment can also reduce the severity of acne as it destroys the sebaceous glands attached to the targeted follicles. Even though, not associated with hair follicle, removal of unwanted hairs in an acne prone area will definitely clear the skin condition by simply drying the hair follicle’s region therefore improving significantly the skin texture.
